Meet The Team
Xlerate is made up of a team of like minded motorsport enthusiast.
|Andy | Chief Editor|
|When not at work supporting Live Broadcast, Studios and Post Production for a global leader in Sports Media, he can often be found walking about a forest in Gods own back garden; Wales snapping rally cars. A man of many talents, as well as being a photographer Andy handles all of the design for Xlerate, in addition to this he's been trying to get his 1970 MK1 Escort back on the road for what seems like a lifetime.|
|Brian | Aka The Site Watchman|
|When not having a dirty weekend away in his 4x4, he's the man behind the scenes keeping his watchful eye on the Xlerate server ensuring that it continues to weeerrr away in the data center, he also comes to rescue when things go wrong, more often than not when Andy has done something he shouldn't have. If you want to get online with a website, Brian is the man to sort you out.|
|Stuart | Photo-Journalist|
|Stuart is an all around car guy and can often be found snapping at Shelsley Walsh, Prescott or Loton; Stuart joined Xlerate for the 2018 season as our resident Hill Climb guy, he has a creative way with processing photographs and produces images which stand out from the norm offering something different. He's also just started getting into stage rallying after catching the bug at the 2017 Roger Albert Clark Rally.|
|Neil | Aka “Simmo” | Formula 1 Correspondent|
|Former motorsport press officer. When not writing about racing, he can be found writing about other things or designing games. Lifelong McLaren, Aston Martin and Ducati fan, loves copious amounts of tea (the odd spiced rum and cola), music…especially Fleetwood Mac. Soon to be married, owned by a cat.|
|Sam | Photo-Journalist|
|A 30-something Greek God re-born, enjoys procrastinating and walks in the park. When I'm not at a circuit, I'm twitching or fence hanging with camera in hand (That's feathered friends and aviation if you didn't know). Life is better with bourbon biscuits and bacon but a new found fitness regime seems to have better ideas. As does the missus.|
|Kev | Photo-Journalist|
|Am a born and bred southerner, but can be classed as a Midlander due to the amount of time I have lived here (its handy to have so many circuits within driving distance)
Should probably spend more weekends off tending to the garden rather than finding new tracks to shoot motorsport from. Despite having a love of all things motorsport related, have no idea about cars in general other than they have an engine and wheels but can look real pretty.
If there is not any meets on that I can get to on a weekend off will generally be either out with a camera or sleeping.
|Kelly | Rallycross Correspondent | ARX & BRX|
|My love for motorsport started when I was taken to my first Autograss meeting at 10 years old. 17 years later and my passion for motorsport as a whole has grown, but I do have a particular soft spot for any category that involves a bit of dirt. My passion for writing is one I can’t remember life without and I merged the two when I started reporting on Autograss for my club, and once again it has grown. Happiest when in the middle of a field, surrounded by cars and with a notebook in hand!|
|Callum | Rallycross Correspondent | EURO RX & TITANS RX|
|Keen for any photo chance, long time hockey player and big motorsport fan. Since visiting my first race I’ve enjoyed the sport and from picking up a camera I’ve always wanted to take more photos. I always jump at any motorsport competition and so far I’ve won 4 times thanks to some skill and a good amount of luck. When I’m not watching racing I’m (usually) studying towards my degree.|
